Neurospine welcomes video submissions as part of the manuscript.

General information
The printed version will include representative images of the video and video legend. In the on-line version of the Neurospine website, the video is inserted just below the paragraph mentioned in the article. In addition, it will be published simultaneously in Neurospine channel of youtube.

The video must be the original work of the authors and must not be submitted or published in any other journal. Submitted videos must be highly relevant to the topic being published. Papers containing video should have two or three items: 1) text file, 2) video file and 3) figure or tables.

Video formatting specification
  • Neurospine prefers videos in .mp4, .wmv or .avi format.
  • The minimum screen size of the video file is 320 X 240 pixels, with a rate of 25 frames per second.
  • The video aspect ratio is based on 16: 9.
  • The size of the video file is limited to 200Mb or less, and the playing time should not exceed 10 minutes.
  • The video requires an audio commentary in English. It's better if the video contains subtitles in English. Times New Roman is recommended for the font of the subtitles. The written transcript should be uploaded as supplementary material containing the oral narrative in the video.
  • The beginning of the video should include the title and author's name correctly, which should match that in the text file.
  • Each video should be numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) when there is more than one.
  • Cite all videos consecutively in the text, and number in the order in which they are cited.

  • Submission of video files

It is possible to upload a video file during the submission process. (https://submit.e-neurospine.org)

  • After Copyright agreement, filling in the Title, Abstract, Author section, authors can upload video files in the file upload page.
  • Authors can select supplementary material from the file designation section and upload a video file.
  • Do not embed videos in the manuscript file.
  • Carefully review the PDF conversion of your submission to ensure that any videos submitted are accessible.
  • If Video files too large to upload in file upload page, the video may be alternately submitted as a URL. We encourage authors to use Vimeo.com, a free video sharing site. Authors can upload up to 200MB of video for free by signing up in Vimeo.com.
  • Upload the video with a title that matches the Title and select "Only people with a password can see this video" in the Privacy section. It would be appropriate to write the URL and password under the abstract in the text file.
